Tesco: Space, Range and Merchandising Graduate Leadership Programme

We work to offer customers the best range of products in the space we have available. By analysing customers' needs and shopping habits, we can establish the range of products people want. Then we can build a plan for the quantity and range of products destined for each store, depending on its location and the profile of its customers. It's a great environment for problem solvers who are always looking for better ways to work.

What will you be doing?

Our Space department is about getting the most out of the space each store has, enabling us to deliver great ranges to customers. We design and build floor plans and support all our stores through a helpdesk. Join us, and you'll analyse how products are selling, study future growth trends, and build your customer and competitor insight.

Our Range department works to put the right ranges in the right stores at the most competitive prices. You'll support Merchandising by looking at customer needs, understanding how they make their buying decisions and identifying opportunities to increase sales by tailoring product ranges to different stores. You can look forward to real scope to deliver lasting changes that will generate revenue and ensure a great shopping experience for our customers.

In Merchandising, we make sure that our store fixtures make shopping even easier for our customers as well as creating merchandise plans that are simple for our stores to put in place. In this team, you'll focus on improving the layouts and visual appearance of products in stores, working with some of the UK's best known retail teams to effectively launch new products. And you'll generate real improvements in the performance of specific product ranges, such as health & beauty, bakery, clothing, grocery and more.

As well as working with a wide range of stakeholders, all focused on improving shopping for our customers, you'll be able to take ownership of projects.
