Due to the continued success of our Sheffield office, Rider Levett Bucknall is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to support the Quantity Surveying team on exciting fast track projects for a range of dynamic clients in the commercial, retail and education sectors including a number of projects overseas.

The ideal candidate will be providing general assistance on quantity surveying services including but not limited to measuring bills of quantities, cost planning, assisting with the preparation of valuations and analysing tender as well as other ad hoc duties.

To be considered for this role you must be immediately available and have the following experience: 

Essential: RICS accredited degree in Quantity SurveyingHigh level of IT competence especially in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel (Advanced), MS Outlook, MS Word, and a database system.  Experience of CAD or BIM measure and Cost Planning Systems would be an advantage.  Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well disciplined and commercially astute. Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal. Natural problem solver using own initiative to solve daily issues with regards to logistics and information flow. Experience of understanding and manipulating information to produce clear and concise reports. Ability to handle and deal effectively with high volumes of information from different forms of communication (email, letter, internal meetings, telephone etc). Self-confidence and ability to work with a variety of people Excellent customer service, communication and client/external interface skills A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable and flexible
