REDWOOD PUBLISHING RECRUITMENT: Typesetter

A leading independent academic publisher of books, based in the Newcastle upon Tyne area is looking to recruit an experienced Typesetter to work in-house. Our client who specialises in the humanities and social sciences publish over 500 new titles each year and work with authors from leading academic institutions around the world.

They are now looking for a well organised and efficient person with strong typesetting experience to join their busy pre-press team in their Newcastle upon Tyne office.

The successful person will have strong typesetting skills, ideally with knowledge of systems and processes used within other academic publishers, though we will look at experience from other areas of publishing. You will have good communication skills as the role requires lots of client contact and will also involve working closely with individuals in the team who are working off site. You will be efficient and organised with experience of working in a busy pre-press environment.

This role is an immediate start.
